Employees of Manny V. Pangilinan’s Metro Pacific conglomerate will now be granted the option to quarantine in a private quarantine facility opened by the MVP group should they test positive for COVID-19. The MVP quarantine facility is located in Antipolo, Rizal, and is open to MVP employees who are either asymptomatic or have a mild case of the virus.

In a bid to decongest Metro Manila hospitals, the facility can house up to 240 employee patients, and each will receive their own air-conditioned quarantine tent and bed. Employees who will quarantine at the facility will also be given three meals a day, medical supplies, phone and data connectivity.

“The essential servicesconnectivity, power, water, road networks, among otherswe have continuously provided since the onset of the pandemic have been the source of stability for many Filipinos, and it is our employeesthe backbone of all our companiesthat have allowed us to be contributors in moving for economic recovery,” said Pangilinan.

MVP Group’s employees covers all those under PLDT, Meralco, Maynilad, Light Rail Manila, Metro Pacific Tollways, and more. Metro Pacific’s workers will also be able to make use of another perk being offered by the conglomerate: quarantine leave, which will be considered separate from standard sick leave credits so employees don’t have to use up their sick leave days in order to quarantine.

Pangilinan has also committed to securing enough vaccines for 300,000 individuals, which will include employees and their dependents, and all expenses will be covered by the group.
