A Roadtrip to Tagaytay Will Soon Be a Real Vacation-With Less Traffic

A trip to Tagaytay will soon take less travel time, with less time in traffic, and less stress.

The Tagaytay Bypass Road will get you from Alfonso, Cavite to Tagaytay in only 20 minutes, down from the usual 53 minutes, shaving off almost two-thirds of the original travel time.

Manila to Save More Than P1.3 Bln a Day Once Infra Structures are Completed

Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark Villar inaugurated a 1.54-kilometer road of the 8.49-kilometer, four-lane Tagaytay Bypass Road on Wednesday. 

The Maitim and Kaybagal sections now open to vehicular traffic will divert traffic within the congested city roads of Tagaytay, running through Luksuhin, Sikat, Zambal, Guinhawa, Patutong Malaki, Balagbag, Salaban, Kaybagal, and Maitim road sections.
 
The DPWH has so far released P466.24 million for the ongoing and completed sections of the bypass road project.

And bikers can rejoice too. The entire stretch of the Tagaytay Bypass Road will have a separate bike lane. Villar's Department Order 88 series of 2020 requires the inclusion of bike lanes in all future national road and bridge projects.
