Some of the world’s bank notes are boring, dull, and unimaginative (e.g., the U.S. Dollar), but the Philippine Peso is an explosion of color, according to British YouTube content creator Half-Asleep Chris.

“It features natural wonders, native wildlife, and historical figures,” he says.

“In this video, I take a closer look at their secrets and hidden features, and at the rare 200 peso note, often dubbed the $2 bill of the East.”

The video explores the history, natural wonders, and native wildlife featured on the Philippine Peso, which may not be the world’s most powerful currency, but trumps some of the world’s most favored currencies (British Pound, Euro, Japanese Yen, and American Dollar) in terms of design.
