Manny Villar Is the Only Filipino on Bloomberg's List of the World's Richest
The Bloomberg Billionaires Index is out and you know what the means: We get to find out who are the richest of all the tycoons in the country. In 2020, the chosen ones were Manny Villar and Enrique Razon. In this year's ranking, however, only one of them made the cut.
According to the list, which puts together the 500 wealthiest people in the world, business tycoon Manny Villar is the country's richest. Villar's wealth stems from his extensive real estate portfolio worth $6.76 billion. Alongside his net worth, Bloomberg also listed Villar's last change of $49.8 million and year-to-date change of $92.7 million.
Those who topped the list were Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, and Bill Gates with net worths of $209 billion, $186 billion, and $134 billion respectively. While the founder and chairman of Nongfu Spring Zhong Shanshan placed sixth to be the richest man in Asia.
