Bongbong Marcos Warns Against Thieves of Votes
Bongbong Marcos has appealed to Filipinos to go out and vote on May 9 and rallied his supporters to guard their ballots from "theft."
The only son and namesake of the late dictator whose family plundered billions from the country's coffers called on his supporters to protect their vote come election day.
Marcos Jr. is the top pick for president based on the final pre-election survey of Pulse Asia with a wide margin against his political nemesis Leni Robredo, who defeated him in the 2016 vice presidential race.
The former senator who is preaching unity to restore his family's pride called on the public to exercise their right to vote even if they are in support of a different candidate.
Kailangan natin makiisa sa halalan," he said.
Marcos Jr. is running with President Rodrigo Duterte's daughter and political heir Sara, who is also the top pick for vice president in the final pre-election survey of Pulse Asia.
