Pink is the color of the moment. After Vice President Leni Robredo announced that she’d be running for president in 2022, her supporters painted social media pink. Celebs donned pink outfits, and campaign collaterals were rebranded in pink. It was so intense that the search volume for “Tagalog for pink” increased by 50 percent on Google, since her haters can no longer curse her for being dilawan. As one Twitter user joked, at least they can say… #FuschiangInaKa?

Despite all the turmoil happening on the ground with the elections around the corner, social media was certainly a colorful place to be. Brands big and small rode the #TeamPink craze, some outright announcing their support for Leni, while others were more subtle. Or maybe they were just joining the pink bandwagon for marketing. Who knows? Either way, it was just a plus for Team Pink (Mga Rosas na yan!).
