Yet again, the social impact of disruptive technology is seeing positive outcomes for Filipinos. Session Groceries, a social enterprise and farm-to-table app focused on connecting farmers and consumers by allowing consumers to order rice through their app, is offering special delivery services to quake-affected areas in Cotabato. Recently, Mindanao experienced a series of strong earthquakes, displacing thousands of Filipinos.

Last month, a viral story about a lady who bought rice through the app circulated online. She was surprised when she received a handwritten note from the farmers thanking her as if she moved mountains.

Today, Session Groceries announced that they are opening a channel for donations to the victims of the Cotabato earthquakes. Just like ordering rice and vegetables through its app, you can donate using the same steps. The goods are sold directly by farmers, allowing them to earn more income. By donating through the app, you are not only helping the victims of the Cotabato earthquake, but also the farmers.
