Earlier Today, Juan Ponce Enrile Woke Up Peacefully From His Sleep After Turning 98 Years Old

Earlier today, February 14, Juan Ponce Enrile was found in his home still alive and kicking after turning 98 years old.
Enrile was born on February 14th, 1924 in Cagayan. In his long career in politics, he has assumed the offices of Secretary of Finance, Secretary of Justice, Minister of National Defense, Member of the House of Representatives, President of the Senate, and Senate Minority Leader.
Crowned the immortal one, Enrile has lived through 15 presidencies and countless controversies. He is also older than EDSA, which began construction in the 1930s, and Davao City, which was granted cityhood in 1936.
Other things Enrile is older than? Scotch tape, ballpoint pens, suntan lotion, helicopters, radio telescopes, penicillin, and Ang Probinsyano.
Enrile is only two years away from becoming a century old.
There is still a debate about whether he is actually older than dirt. But one thing is certain: The eternal Enrile will outlive us all.
