This Guy Finished 36 Online Courses from Prestigious Universities in 34 Days

Edward Jan Paul Ebreo earned his Masters Degree in Public Management at the Ateneo School of Government in October 2019. However, his dream of becoming a public servant was put on hold because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Restless, Ebreo decided to take online classes in Corporate Finance at Columbia University. There were a total of three courses, which cost $675.

“I took it to make the most out of the free time I had and I saw this as an opportunity to make myself better,” said Ebreo. After finishing the course, he realized he enjoyed it, so he took advantage of the free trial courses that came with his first course.
He had a week to finish everything before the trial expired.
“I would take two or three classes at the same time,” said Ebreo. “I did not notice how many classes I took until I decided to take a break.”

Because of the tight expiration date of the trial period for the courses, Ebreo finished all 36 courses in just 34 days, which means he finished an average of one course a day.
“It kept me from missing my girlfriend, and helped me cope with my ADHD by keeping me busy during the quarantine period,” said Ebreo. He hopes to work with government and has submitted applications to the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) and to the Tourism Promotions Board (TPB).
