Held by VivaManila, Puesto Manila, and the Intramuros Administration, “He Walked This Way” will retrace the steps of Celdran’s iconic Walk This Way tour to celebrate the life of a staunch advocate of Philippine history and culture. The last walk, as many have taken to calling it, will begin at 4 p.m. at Fort Santiago before making its way to Puerta Real Gardens where the program will begin at 7 p.m. There will be performances and messages from Celdran’s friends and colleagues.

The last walk tour has a fee of P500, however, the tribute event at Puerta Real is free for everyone. Registration for the last walk is now open.

In a Facebook post, VivaManila described Celdran as “a rabble rouser, a rule-breaker, a non-conformist who challenged the way things were done and who shattered perceptions and protocol.” Seeing the beauty in Intramuros, he worked tirelessly to ensure that the stories within the walls of the old city would not be forgotten.

“It's almost as if he gave his life so that Manila may live again.”
