Watch Katy Perry's Mesmerizing 'Firework' Performance at Inauguration

There is nothing excessive about a fireworks display when you’re celebrating the end of an era geared toward everything that is anti-science, anti-environment, and anti-diversity. Katy Perry’s moving performance of her 2010 hit single ‘Firework’ during President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris’ inauguration wowed audiences as colors of the American flag burst above the Washington Monument. 

The Biden Inaugural Committee uploaded a video of the historic performance on YouTube and Facebook. Perry’s dramatic rendition of the hit single was chilling: her slow crescendo was perfectly synchronized with the red, white, and blue fireworks that erupted above the skyline. 

Equally enthralling was Perry’s choice of outfit for the occasion: a regal cape gown with matching Jimmy Choo heels.

“Wonderful performance and the perfect song to end a beautiful celebration for our new President and Vice President,” wrote Francine Martinez in the comments section of the video.
