Mocha Uson Replies to Kris Aquino—And It's Not an Apology. IT. IS. ON!

Not a day after Kris Aquino's impassioned challenge on Facebook live, PCOO Asec. Mocha Uson has issued her response. In a much shorter video taken from inside a moving vehicle, Uson simply says: "This is not about Kris Aquino. Tungkol ito sa paglagay ng malisya sa isang halik. Itinumbas lang sa gawain ng ibang lider, tulad ng tatay niya. Ms. Aquino, this is not about you."

Of course, Kris herself acknowledged and insisted that the issue was not about her—it was about her parents. Kris' exact words were: “This is really not about me. This is about the legacy of two people I really love. This is about Ninoy Aquino and Cory Aquino.” So at least at that point, there doesn't seem to be a disagreement.

But perhaps Uson means to say that she doesn't think it should be personal. It's typical of Uson to resort to that argument; to say that she was merely showing matters of fact, and to suddenly detach herself from the opinions she airs on her blog. But no matter what she says, her efforts to tarnish the reputation and legacy of Kris' father are clear as day. And to a father's daughter, that's personal.

Previously, Special Assistant to the President Bong Go said that Uson would apologize to Kris Aquino for her remarks. But this doesn't seem like an apology—it seems like Round 2. Fight!

UPDATE: Shortly after posting the video, Uson posted another statement, saying she refuses to apologize:
