Buckle Up: Heavy Rain Will Last All Day Today

Nearly the entire Luzon was cloaked in rain clouds on Thursday as Typhoon Ulysses (Vamco) lashed the Philippines most populous island, triggering floods and evacuation calls.
The rains are likely to persist the entire day Thursday, heavy until noon and moderate to heavy from noon to the evening, said PAGASA forecaster Loriedin dela Cruz. "Buong araw, we will not experience good weather today," she said.
"Halos buong Luzon covered. Malakas ho yan lalo na sa gitna," she said
Ulysses is the third typhoon in as many weeks. It made landfall in Patnanungan, Quezon late Wednesday and was over Nueva Ecija province before dawn, packing maximum sustained winds of 155 kph and 255 kph gusts.
