Louise Mabulo Wants Nas Daily to Be Declared Persona Non Grata

Louise Mabulo, the founder of The Cacao Project and who is among the figures who called out Nuseir Yassin aka Nas Daily for his alleged exploitation of Filipinos, has approached the Commission on Human Rights (CHR) to have him declared persona non grata.
On August 10, Mabulo posted photos of her meeting with CHR officers regarding “the recent issues surrounding the exploitation against me and the farmers here perpetuated by some vlogger.”
In her post, Mabulo bared she had been attacked on social media.
“The attacks against me are on social media, but my platform is real life—undeniable. Rest assured that actions are being taken to safeguard our people, and prevent further incidents like this.??”
Nas Daily has accused Mabulo of not being truthful about The Cacao Project, saying in a Facebook post “your story in the media is false,” and that there were no 200 cacao farmers Mabulo was allegedly working with. Nas Daily further emphasized it, telling Mabulo to “be truthful about your work. The Cacao Project is not as truthful as the media says it is.”
What happens to someone declared persona non grata?
If a person is declared persona non grata, he is barred from entering the country that issued that declaration. Local governments in the Philippines can also declare someone persona non grata through resolutions passed by the city council.
The CHR-Bicol is filing a report on Nas Daily’s alleged insults against Filipino farmers and online attacks against the Cacao Project, according to a Rappler report.
