PhilHealth Is About to Hike Contributions. Here's How Much You Need to Pay

Filipinos need to pay higher contributions to PhilHealth starting June in accordance with the implementation of the Universal Health Care Act, the state-run insurer said.
The premium rate for 2022 is set at 4% for all direct contributors, PhilHealth said.

This means that a Filipino earning P10,000 or below would need to pay a P400 monthly premium. Those earning P80,000 or more however need to pay a P3,200 monthly premium.
Since the policy is retroactively effective in January 2022, PhilHealth said members and employers who have paid contributions at 3% need to settle the 1% differential payments until the end of the year.
Under the Universal Health Care Law, premium rates will increase to the 5% limit in 2024 and 2025.
PhilHealth in 2021 suspended the premium rate increase to aid Filipinos struggling with the economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
