Missed Eating Out? Dine-In Services Are Allowed Until 9 P.M.

Dine-in services at food establishments are now allowed to operate until 9 p.m., the Palace said on June 23.

According to Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque, the country’s COVID-19 task force decided to extend operating hours for dine-in services after the curfew time was reduced by two hours. Previously, curfew was from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Now, it’s from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.

While operating hours are extended, restaurants under general community quarantine are only allowed to operate on a 30% capacity, while food establishments under modified general community quarantine are allowed to operate on 50% capacity.

In order to prevent the spread of COVID-19, customers and staff must wear masks and practice social distance. Tables, chairs, and menus must be disinfected frequently, and stations for handwashing and alcohol dispensers must also be made available.
