Vico Sotto Accepts Apology of Producer Who Tagged Him ‘Tricycle Operator’
On April 12, Pasig mayor Vico Sotto posted an Instagram story about a hilarious gaffe made about himself on national TV: a header with his name with a caption that says “Tricycle Operator” instead of “Pasig City Mayor.”
His Instagram story has since gone viral, and naturally caught the attention of the TV producer responsible for the mistake. Zai Taguinod, the journalist who produced the report with an erring caption on GMA News, apologized to Sotto in a tweet.

The mayor took it in stride and said everybody needed the comic relief.

Under Sotto’s leadership, Pasig has been among the most stellar local government units amid the COVID-19 crisis.
