Vico on Not Endorsing Ping-Tito Tandem: 'I Made A Promise, Didn't I?'

Visited but not endorsed.
That was the tune of Vico when presidential candidate Senator Panfilo "Ping" Lacson and vice-presidential candidate Senate President Vicente “Tito” Sotto III campaigned in Pasig City on Wednesday, March 9, 2022.
They were warmly received by Pasig Mayor Vico Sotto, nephew of Senator Sotto.
Ping and Tito are the standard-bearers of the Reform Party in the 2022 elections.
Mayor Vico's office was also visited by his father Vic Sotto, who is Tito's brother. Also there was senatorial candidate Gringo Honasan.
Mayor Vico was asked whether the visit of his uncle and Lacson meant an endorsement.
“Hindi. Nag-promise ako, 'di ba?” (“No. I promised, didn’t I?”) Vico told ABS-CBN News Digital.
Vico is the executive vice president of Aksyon Demokratiko, whose standard-bearer is presidential candidate and Manila Mayor Isko Moreno.
Reporters asked Senator Sotto what the “promise” Mayor Vico’s nephew was referring to.
His answer: "Secret."
Mayor Vico had earlier said he would not interfere in national politics.
Tito and Ping seem to understand this.
Vic Sotto Says 'Nothing Political'
On the other hand, Vic was also interviewed and he clarified that his son's conversation with Tito and Ping was "nothing political."
However, the words released by Eat Bulaga! host.
Vic said: “Si Vico anak ko, di ba? Tinanong ko lang kung saan maluwag, kung kailan maluwag ang schedule niya.
"Of course, hindi naman sila nagkakaiba ng mga adbokasiya, mga gusto mangyari sa gobyerno, gusto ayusin sa gobyerno.
"Kuwentuhan lang naman, nothing political. Kayo na ang bahalang mag-decipher kung ano," said Vic.
Senator Sotto and Senator Lacson's statement did not deviate from Vic's statement.
Tito told the press, "The best thing that happened… was that Mayor Vico welcomed us during our visit to him…"
He joked, “And our campaign manager in Pasig is Vic Sotto.
“I think it’s more than enough. It says a thousand words. ”
According to Lacson, his proposed platforms are "aligned" with what Mayor Vico is doing in Pasig City.
“Even if it wasn't explicitly discussed before, meeting of the minds, they already understand that.
"There is one advocacy, the clean government, anti-corruption…" he promised.
