Last April, there were reports that Mocha Uson—then only a blogger, now legit member of the government after she took on the post of PCOO Assistant Secretary—was going to run for the Senate. She eventually denied these reports, but not before we ran a short list of reasons why she shouldn't.
Today, House Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez, who also serves as the secretary general for PDP-Laban, disclosed that Mocha Uson and presidential spokesperson Harry Roque will join the party's senatorial slate in the 2019 midterm elections, along with previously named Karlo Nograles (Representative, 1st District of Davao City), Albee Benitez (Rep., 3rd District of Negros Occidental), Geraldine Roman (Rep., 1st District of Bataan), and Francis Tolentino.
To be fair, ASec. Uson herself expressed surprise at the announcement, though she has not (yet) disavowed the announcement.

As we noted before, it's a free country, and it's still up to the discerning citizens of this fair land to decide whether or not we want a Senator Uson deciding on the laws that govern us. If the assistant secretary does decide to follow her senatorial ambitions, then we're still here ready to give her a head start with some suggested campaign posters and slogans. From us, the citizenry.
