The 25th anniversary of A. Lange & Söhne's iconic Lange 1 model is no small affair, with the manufacture set to release 10 limited editions over the course of the year. And it's the third installment that has caught our eye the most so far.

Limited to just 25 pieces, the Little Lange 1 "25th Anniversary" manages to pack the luxury features of an elite timepiece (white gold case, an open caseback and so on and so forth) without falling into the peacock pen. Instead, A. Lange & Söhne plays to its strengths as a classic marquee, and has even downsized on the Lange 1 with sharp, muted results.

The benefits to all of this are twofold. The minute production run guarantees that you'll be wearing a highly original piece. Better yet, the smaller size means it'll sit tight on smaller wrists: You needn't have the ham joints of a personal trainer to wear a high impact watch. Factor in removal of a pusher, and you've one incredibly streamlined piece too.

It's not just a pretty face, either. Inside, the Little Lange 1 boasts a respected L121.1 calibre, a movement that's capable of 72 hour power reserve painstakingly crafted from over 367 individual components.

Fancy getting an invite to the party? The anniversary piece is priced around £30,457, with further information available online at A. Lange & Söhne.
