Indulge us for a moment and do this exercise: First, look at yourself and your closest friends.

Yes, Jeremy, the coolest dude you know; Dan, the tall guy; Jonathan, the one with the beach house (that's why you are friends with him); and that other guy who joins you for lunch because he has nowhere else to go.

Now, take a look at the members of Tod's Band.

Okay, this is not an actual band, the kind with musical instruments and singing. It's more of a team, a gang, a band of brothers in fashion, or a motley crew of actors, art folk, and a couple of models.

Like you and your friends, they are tied together by a common interest, but unlike you and your crew, this is not, say, the pleasures of war reenactment or coding.

Though from different places and with varied backgrounds, this select group of men presents the idea of looking good and living well without looking like they are trying so very hard. In other words, they're here to spread the good word about that easy (and elusive) Italian lifestyle.

A few notes: Tatoos? Not planned, but “a spur-of-the-moment” thing. Coolness? It's about being true to yourself. And what to bring on a getaway? A toothbrush and toothpaste says one. Comfortable shoes says another.

On their feet are various iterations of Tod's loafers, which have been made for, well, loafing around with your very cool friends.

They all wear the shoes, the clothes, and the lifestyle very well, showing everyone that what you need to do is this: look dressed but not too dressed and take it easy while you're doing it.

Meet the stylish band.
