You'd be forgiven for feeling like the world of sneakers is a little tough to crack right now. From hyped-up limited editions to ugly-cool dad shoes, there have been more than a few trends in 2018 that might not feel applicable to your own life—or closet. But even if you'd never line-up or lay down a grand for kicks, there's no reason to write the sneaker game off entirely.

Because if you're looking for something affordable, stylish, and always easy to wear, Adidas has you covered. The brand's Campus model is an undisputed classic, and one that's not totally overexposed right now. The Campus ADV takes the bones of the OG model and adds a few bonus elements, while keeping the vintage-inspired good looks entirely intact.

Here's why these sneakers should have a place in your rotation.

They're comfy.

The original Campus is comfortable, no doubt. But the ADV takes the proposition to a whole other level. That's because the silhouette was technically designed for skating. You don't have to know how to ollie (or even stand on a board) to wear a pair of Campus ADVs, but you can benefit from that purpose-built design. The tongue, collar, and sole all have a little bit more cushioning—which will keep your feet a lot happier when you're going about your day.

They're stylish—and especially relevant right now.

Some sneakers scream for attention. Some want to shrink out of the spotlight. The Campus ADV is more like Goldilocks. The design details—a reinforced heel, the quintessential three-stripes branding, the gold foil-stamped model name—are just visible enough. And the low-profile silhouette and lack of extraneous ornamentation keep things subdued. In other words: just right.

They go with everything.

Today's hype-y sneakers demand a look that feels just as of-the-moment and ready-for-Instagram. Ironic, bulky kicks call for normcore minimalism to balance them—or something so weird that they actually feel like a counterpoint to the clothes themselves. But the Campus goes with everything. Throw it on with jeans, or joggers, or maybe even and suit. Wear it with something futuristic or unapologetically not. Any which way, the shoes look just as good. And isn't that something every guy can appreciate?
