Alden Richards Shows Us All How to Wear a Tuxedo
There's a time to push the boundaries of men's fashion, and there's a time to go all the way classic. Alden Richards definitely knows when either are appropriate (see his glittering Francis Libiran look at the Mega Ball). For the GMA Thanksgiving Ball, though, the actor decided to go for the latter with a no-nonsense tuxedo.
The look was simple: a custom Tom Ford single-breasted tuxedo in black velvet, styled by Melville Sy, Maita Baello, and Shark Tanael of Studio 24c. While to some Richards' choice may have been a safe one, to that we say a classic tux is a classic because, well, it works. Not to mention, a perfectly tailored tux is always a sight to behold. So behold it below.
In addition to the tux, there's, of course, a watch. Richards had on an A. Lange & Söhne with an elegant black leather strap to continue the classic look he was going for. He didn't follow all the rules, though. He veered off the edge a bit with shiny, shiny, shiny Louboutin shoes that—surprise!— had silver spikes on the heel.
If you ask us, it's just the right amount of personality to an otherwise simple look. So, the next time you wear a tux, let the Start-Up actor be your guide.
