You Can Now Shop Ambush, a Kanye and Pharrell Favorite, in Manila

The Japanese streetwear brand is now available at Akimbo.

In 2002, Verbal and Yoon launched the Ambush Design Company as a creative outlet, where Yoon designed album art for artists, among other things. The company naturally became a bigger venture when the duo launched Antonio Murphy & Astro, the jewelry line that caught the attention of Kanye West.

Over time, Ambush transformed itself from a contemporary jewelry label into a fully fledged streetwear line. It also took the fashion industry by storm. Its founders have had notable collaborations with Sacai, Colette, and A Bathing Ape, as well as appeared in campaigns for Louis Vuitton and Doc Martens. More recently, Yoon was handpicked by Kim Jones to spearhead Dior Men's jewelry collections.

Now, you can finally shop the line, starting with its Waves collection, at multi-brand streetwear concept Akimbo. According to Akimbo, the collection is "inspired by the downtime of a trip to the beach." There are plenty of elements of classic island life, including fluorescent colors, metallic-coated surfboards, allusions to island fauna, and scuba material, which is fitting for the tropics.
