Who Is The Most Stylish Man Of 2018? Quarter Finals: Armie Hammer vs. Ryan Reynolds

Last week, Tom Hardy stormed Dev Patel to reach the final four. It's quarter final time.
Americans dominate the red carpet. That's because they're usually a lot better at it than Brits: the walking, the talking, the charming, the Twitter-friendly stunts. Oh, and of course, the outfits. It's that innate transatlantic ability that makes this week's match-up all the more interesting, with both contenders boasting Tinseltown credentials of the highest order: Armie Hammer and Ryan Reynolds.
Armie Hammer is an All-American Style Icon
The former is a man who has it all: the ascendant career, the all-American jawline and a wardrobe that'd work in this decade and the next. Hammer—who became something of a style icon on the back of last year's Call Me By Your Name—has doubled down on the status for 2018.
At the 90th Annual Academy Awards in March, the 32-year-old rejigged old school glamour. No boring penguin suit here. Instead, we saw a tux in blood red velvet: enough to cause a stir, but still well within the parameters of the dress code. It's proof that Hammer isn't afraid to experiment, and uses classic templates to carve out his own.

Ryan Reynolds is an Everyday Hollywood Hero
Which isn't to say Reynolds plays it safe. To the contrary, otherwise simple outfits enjoy a lift thanks to added extras: a contrast waistcoat, a texture, or a well-deployed pair of spectacles.
At a Deadpool 2 screening New York, the Marvel star wore head-to-toe Brunello Cucinelli with a tan middle to offset overarching grey. It's not a new move to anyone familiar with the aristocracy, but it was one Reynolds made wearable year-round, and he cemented the look in London on the marketing trail.
So, who heads to the semi-finals? Two Hollywood heroes alike in stature, star power, and sheer style.
