1| Topman
Aside from stocking the latest trends, Topman also offers a selection of stylish suits. The only downside to the brand is that it follows Topman's trendy Brit aesthetic which means the skinniest of cuts and a multitude of vibrant colors and prints. (Think Mark Ronson, Harry Styles, and Tinie Tempah.) It's still a great choice, however, if you're on the thinner side and you want to make an impression.
2| Burton
For a great Savile Row-like look, there's no better place than Burton. Founded by Sir Montague Maurice Burton in Chesterfield in 1903, Burton was once the largest multiple tailor in the world. Though now owned by the same company as Topman, Burton makes suits with more traditional flair. You'll find skinny suits, slim fit suits, tailored suits, and three-piece suits in checks, stripes, and more at Burton's local stores. A full suit ranges from around P6,000 to P15,000.
3| H&M
H&M is definitely worth checking out, especially since the brand has amped up its quality when it comes to suits and tailoring. The Swedish brand has a wide range of suits for every occasion including the super skinny fit, skinny fit, slim fit, and the regular fit. From wool and linen to blacks, grays, and navys, there are a variety of colors and materials to choose from. Expect to find blazers in the P3,290 to P4,490 range and trousers at around P1,190 to P1,690.
4| Zara
For modern and contemporary suits, Zara is one to check out. Season after season, the brand has windowpane and check print suits. There are also the brand's traveler and relaxed suits which are perfect for more casual days. Blazers start at around P5,995 while trousers at P2,495. With Zara, you get what you pay for—higher quality for a fast fashion brand.
5| Mango
Another brand that offers foolproof contemporary suits is Mango. Though the high street brand was previously known for its striking designs, it recently underwent a more subdued rebranding with a classic aesthetic at the forefront. Its latest collection is full of blues, navys, grays, and blacks in flattering cuts and high-quality materials. A blazer will cost you around P6,495 while pants start at P2,995.
6| Well Suited
Well Suited started out as a stall in Greenhills in 2004. Today, the brand is sold on Zalora Philippines where you'll find blazers starting at P3,000 and trousers at P1,500. The brand's collection of suits is divided into different categories: Business suits, smart casual suits, as well as separate jackets, trousers that can easily be matched and coordinated to other pieces. According to Well Suited, its selection of suits are imported from Hong Kong, China, and Korea.
7| Arrow
Arrow is a favorite of Filipino professionals for a reason. It's decently priced, and it manages to make one look polished. The American brand can trace its history back to 1929 when Cluett Peabody & Company, a manufacturer of shirts, established a menswear business under the Arrow name. Today, the brand continues to make clothing that includes shirts, collars, handkerchiefs, cravats, pajamas, and underwear. You can't go wrong with the brand's straightforward suit offerings.
8| Exclusively His
If you have more time, eschew the ready to wear route and head to Exclusively His. Founded in 1965, Exclusively His is one of the first tailors in the country. Don't be threatened by the bespokeness of it all: Exclusively His is one of the most affordable tailoring shops in the Philippines. Prices start at P8,500 for a suit, but it depends on the labor and the materials used.
