Watches, as we're so often told, tell a story—one of inheritance, of craftsmanship, of serious Swiss cool. And there's some truth to that. However, few pieces can match the tales of Phillips' latest lot in Geneva: Elvis Presley's actual Omega watch.

First presented to the King to mark over 75 million records sold in 1961, the white gold Omega packs 44 diamonds to the bezel with a Tiffany & Co.-signed dial. Graceland meets the Jura, if you will.

What's more, you can find a personal message inscribed to the caseback from Victor of RCA Records to Presley himself—a move that would usually depreciate the value of an antique watch, but, given the circumstances, it's bound to make it all the more coveted.

Unlike the flammable costumes you find on Amazon, this tribute to the King did not come cheap. The Omega was expected to fetch between £36,000 to £78,000 at auction, which is probably a lot more than your nan's expecting from that old Jailhouse Rock vinyl.

The rare watch sold for CHF1,812,500 or P95,158,306.04.
