High-End Streetwear Brand Fear of God is Now in Manila

Since it's establishment in 2012, streetwear brand Fear of God has operated on the idea of reworking American classics, from the flannel shirt to the hoodie to the jean jacket, into pieces that are at once familiar and modern (and also more precious as these everyday staples are expertly put together using only the best materials).
In an interview with Milk Made during the nascent stages of the LA-based brand, founder and designer Jerry Lorenzo identified with the style of “chic grunge,” which is basically that '90s feeling that everyone is leaning into right now.
That idea of easy, but elevated essentials has remained over six seasons, propelling Fear of God into one of the must-have brands in the world and making it a favorite of stars such as Michael B. Jordan, Dwyane Wade, the Beibz, and the Kardashians, too.
More streetwear: The Best Streetwear Stores in Manila
And now, the upmarket streetwear label lands in Manila via the Popcorn General Store.
Three of Fear of God's classic styles have arrived: The most compelling is a pair of basketball high-tops that, with its rounded toe and perforated vamp, recall the immortal Air Force 1. Here, the big statement is twofold: a flash of black or white, with a contrasting swipe of color in the midsole, and treaded rubber soles that are extra, extra thick.
LA-based streetwear brand Fear of God lands in Manila with three leather sneaker styles. The Basketball Sneaker features the graphic punch of black and white with a treaded sole.
In green nylon and black leather, the jungle sneaker is a bit more complex, which just makes it the most eye-catching of the trio, too. Its combo closure system of exposed zippers and flat laces adds a touch of functionality and style. Much like a combat boot, the laces can be looped around the body of the sneaker (we leave it up to you if the move is for added security or a look).
Along with zip-up closure system, the Jungle Sneaker has flat laces that can be wrapped around the ankle.
Finally, the nubuck, high-top hiking sneaker is the best candidate for your dailywear because it comes in all black. All three styles are made of leather and also constructed in Italy. Can't get wrong with that.
