Ikea Just Dropped a Streetwear Collection that You Can Actually Afford
IKEA streetwear is here. The iconic Swedish furniture brand is venturing into fashion with a limited addition IKEA merchandise collection, which is the brand’s first.
IKEA Sweden is teaming up with IKEA Japan to give the people of Japan what they’ve been asking for: a streetwear line featuring a T-shirt, hoodie, umbrella, tote bag, bath towels, water bottles, and more, all inspired by the people of Tokyo.
The line, called EFTERTRÄDA or “successor” in Swedish, is exclusively available at IKEA Harajuku at the heart of Shibuya, Tokyo, from July 31 to August 6.
Prices haven’t been revealed yet, but we’re pretty sure it won’t cost as much as a Nordic bookshelf.
For now, we can only admire the street clothes from afar, but if things go well in Tokyo, it’s only a matter of time before the line goes global.
Here’s to hoping.
