It's Official: This Is The Richest Man In Fashion
$70.7 billion. A sum that could buy you every single team in the NBA, NFL, and MBA combined, one big beautiful wall of the Donald Trump variety, or, according to the Bloomberg Billionaire Index, the net worth of fashion's richest man.
Meet Bernard Arnault, the CEO of luxury stable LVMH and the only European in the tycoon top league, coming in fourth place behind Warren Buffet at $84.1 billion, Bill Gates at $90.3 billion, and Amazon's Jeff Bezos, who's worth an incredible $118 billion.
Arnault's ascent isn't just good news for his bank manager, either. The latest promotion bumped Zara's founder Amancio Ortega to fifth place—no doubt considered a small victory in the grand war of luxury fashion and its high street counterparts.
In his day-to-day role, Arnault oversees the commercial and financial direction of 70 luxury brands, including Dior, Louis Vuitton, Moët & Chandon, and Berluti. Up for a job swap, Bernard?
