Squid Game's Jung Ho-yeon Has Signed On With Louis Vuitton as a Global Ambassador

Jung Ho-yeon is about to step into a new role… as a Louis Vuitton global ambassador. That's right, even the people high up at the legendary French fashion house are obsessed with all things Squid Game. And, why wouldn't they be? After all, it isn't hard to see why the gripping series has taken the world by storm.

Back to Ho-yeon, however. In case you missed it, before becoming an actress, she was a successful model that's walked in fashion shows and starred in campaigns all over the world. That includes appearing at Louis Vuitton's runway. (Multiple times, mind you.)

In an interview with Soompi, the actress said: "It is an honor to mark my beginnings as an actress with Louis Vuitton after having worked with them as a model. I’m looking forward to every moment I will experience with Louis Vuitton as their global ambassador."

It isn't the least bit shocking considering Louis Vuitton creative director Nicolas Ghesquière is a huge film buff. In the past, he's referenced 2001: A Space Odyssey, Star Wars, and even Stranger Things in his collections. Clearly, a man of good taste.

"I immediately fell in love with Ho-yeon's great talent and fantastic personality, and I am looking forward to starting this new chapter of the journey we started at Louis Vuitton a few years ago," said Ghesquière.
