David Beckham's royal wedding suit—the Dior Homme-designed masterpiece that blew up the internet—was a tough act to follow. Tough, but not impossible. We refer you to another bona fide royal of British pop culture: King of the North, Kit Harington.

On his long-awaited wedding day to co-star Rose Leslie, the Game of Thrones actor went for one of the most classic moves in the book: a morning suit. Defined by its longer tailcoat with trousers and a contrast waistcoat, what was once the compulsory dress code for daytime events has waned in recent years. Though thanks to the likes of Harington and Beckham, that may well be changing.

To avoid looking like a royal wannabe, ensure yours is of the razor-sharp variety: no pooling fabric, no lumpy shirts, and no looking like a 12-year-old in dad's suit. Then, opt for a waistcoat color you're comfortable with. Millennial pink may be in, but greys, lemons and blues can be a safer option.
