Yes, you can wear leather shoes in wet weather
Accept the fact that, matter how very, very careful you are, your shoes will get wet. Now that you know what is inevitable, here’s what you can do: Choose weather-busting footwear.

In particular, shoes in high-shine or polished leather can be worn, because their waxy gloss provides a protective barrier against water. Footwear in rough-grain or textured leather, which is inherently tougher, also holds up against a splatter or a light shower.

Also, look at what lies beneath. The grip of a rubber sole helps you remain upright on slippery surfaces. Better yet, lug soles, those blocky rubbers with deep indentations that were invented for mountaineering and usually affixed on work boots, provide superior traction on any terrain, wet pavement included.
