Here's a collaboration you didn't see coming: Loewe and My Neighbor Totoro. Yup, that's right. The Studio Ghibli film is going to be featured on a bunch of ready-to-wear pieces and accessories by the Spanish luxury label.

Loewe creative director Jonathan Anderson first announced the collaboration on Instagram through a photo of Totoro on the brand's signature stone blue leather. The post was followed by a couple more characters from the film in different shades of backgrounds.

In an official statement, according to Dazed, Anderson says the move is fitting for the world's current situation. "There is a natural longing for heartwarming feelings right now. When I think of a movie that affords me that kind of solace, speaking just as directly to a child as it does to an adult, that movie is My Neighbor Totoro."

We have yet to see product photos of the pieces in the collection, but Anderson teases that it will "celebrates the poetry and immediacy of these characters’ iconography—qualities have made My Neighbor Totoro a true cultural landmark."
