Louis Vuitton Is Releasing a Face Shield Worth P47,000

Face masks and face shields have become the latest staple in the time of the pandemic in both safety and style. Predictably, Louis Vuitton leads the way with LV Shield, the iconic brand's luxurious version of the face shield described as "an eye-catching headpiece, both stylish and protective."
According to a report by Vanity Fair, the French fashion house unveiled this stylish protective gear on the second week of September 2020 as part of its 2021 Cruise collection.
The shield comes with an elastic monogram strap and has a built-in transition lens that switches from clear to dark depending on the level of sunlight they are exposed to. The sleek shield is also rimmed with the distinct Louis Vuitton Monogram and can also be lifted to function as a peaked hat.

Local Louis Vuitton fans will have to wait for the confirmation of the face shield's release in the Philippines.
Business Insider reports that the first batch will be available in select stores worldwide on October 30th. A representative of Louis Vuitton also told the business news website that the price of the LV Shield is yet to be finalized.
According to reports, however, the monogram face shield is pegged at $961 or approximately P46,600.
