Louis Vuitton Is Opening Its First Restaurant in Osaka

Louis Vuitton's expansion continues. In recent years, the French fashion house modernized its fragrance line. And now, it's setting its eyes into the culinary world by way of a restaurant.
Le Café V, its first-ever restaurant, will open in Louis Vuitton's existing Osaka flagship. It will be headed by Japanese chef Yosuke Suga, who has 17 years of experience working with world-renowned chef Joel Robuchon at L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon in Tokyo.

Louis Vuitton is hardly the first fashion house to open a restaurant. As one of the biggest brands in the world, however, it will be interesting to see what dishes will be served. Monogrammed wagyu steak, perhaps?
Its chairman and chief executive officer, Michael Burke, has hinted at the possibility of the brand opening more restaurants in the future. He even went as far as saying that hotels are in the cards, too.

Louis Vuitton's Osaka boutique will reopen its doors on February 1 while Le Café V will follow on February 15.
