The second chapter of the Louis Vuitton Pre-Fall 2022 Men's Collection by the late Virgil Abloh is here. Like any of Abloh's collections, the pieces are designed through an anthropological approach which raises the question of how people buy and wear clothing.
"My philosophy is very much informed by the clothes that people actually wear. What I do is an analysis of a generation: what do people buy and why do they wear it? That question naturally creates an equal interest in tradition as it does in changing tradition. But it’s also about challenging myself and exploring different land. That is creative freedom," he said, explaining his pre-collection procedure.
The collection features sportswear and workwear codes with three-piece suits, tailored trousers, varsity jackets, bomber jackets, and more. Photographed by Osma Harvilahti, the lookbook is set against Le Corbusier's Firminy complex near Lyon. Plus, from March 31 to April 30, Louis Vuitton Solaire will have in-store animations to highlight the collection. So, that's definitely worth a visit. Take a look at the collection below.
