Louis Vuitton Just Released a Luxury Face Mask and Bandana Set

Fresh from testing the waters by releasing a $1,000 (approximately P47,000) face shield, Louis Vuitton is going all-in on pandemic gear with a new set. This time, the French luxury fashion house has created a more regular take on personal protective equipment (PPE) with a face mask and bandana.
Louis Vuitton's face mask and bandana feature the Monogram Tapestry print in blue hues. The face mask resembles a KF94, which is the most popular kind of mask in South Korea, while the bandana is probably just there to tie the whole look together. It will still be useful post-pandemic, though—if we ever get there.
It all comes packaged in a drawstring pouch that has the same print. At least now people can stop rocking the Louis Vuitton-inspired ones out in the market... if you can afford this, that is.

Priced at $480 (approximately P23,100), the set is probably the best protective fashion gear money can buy. Emphasis on fashion. That said, even cloth face masks are better than nothing. Add a filter to the mask and you're good to go.
The new drop comes as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announced that cloth face masks do protect from the coronavirus to an extent. "Studies demonstrate that cloth mask materials can also reduce wearers’ exposure to infectious droplets through filtration, including filtration of fine droplets and particles less than 10 microns," the institute said.
