H&M Teams Up With Margielyn Didal For Its Skate Drop Collection

H&M has just put out the Skate Drop collection. From its name, it's obviously an edit that focuses on… well, skateboarding culture. What makes the drop special is that it was selected by none other than Margielyn Didal.
The 2018 Asian Games gold medalist and 2020 Tokyo Olympics finalist was tapped by the retail company for her "oversized and relaxed street silhouette" which captures the essence of skateboarding style.
"Her sense of style is one that defies societal norms," H&M said in a release. "With a solid belief that fashion must be inclusive and should reach all gender identities and expressions, Margielyn has inspired us to create an exclusive collection that brings this message across."
Not only did Didal create the drop, but she also stars in the campaign. Shot in Cebu, the campaign gives us a look into the skateboarder's world while rocking H&M contemporary street pieces.
On Instagram, Didal said: "Never did I imagine I will be part of a major campaign for [H&M], a brand a big a fan of! I used to shop in their Cebu store as a regular customer. Now my pic is on the window and The Skate Drop—a collection selected by me is on the racks. How sick is that!"
