Taeyang Is Givenchy's Newest Brand Ambassador

Taeyang has been announced as Givenchy's latest brand ambassador. The South Korean singer, who made his debut in 2006 as a member of the boy band Big Bang, is the first male ambassador from the country.

"Taeyang is an inspiring artist—a music pioneer with an authentic, barrier-breaking way of expressing his own personal style, which fits perfectly with today's Givenchy aesthetic,” said Matthew M. Williams, creative director of Givenchy.

"I am grateful to be able to start this new chapter of my life with Givenchy. It holds a special meaning to me, as givenchy is a brand that has inspired me in many ways over the years. Matthew has also been a leader in both fashion and culture for many years. I look forward to the exciting ways to collaborate with Givenchy through this partnership," the singer said in a release from Givenchy.

He joins girl group Aespa who were named Givenchy global brand ambassadors in February 2021.

Aside from Givenchy campaigns, Taeyang has made headlines with the release of his latest single, vibe, an upbeat love song featuring Jimin of BTS. The music video garnered over 20 million views on the first day of release, and currently has over 58 million views on YouTube.
