The Most Wearable Pieces From the A$AP Rocky x GUESS Collection

Pastels, stripes, and '90s vibes-it's soon to drop in the Philippines.

A couple of months back, we were happy to report that the local arm of GUESS would indeed be releasing the A$AP Rocky x GUESS Originals collaboration here in the Philippines. Earlier this week, representatives of GUESS confirmed the official release for July 14 and let us in on which pieces we can expect, and for how much.

As it happens, GUESS Philippines will be getting both the “GUESS Club” and the “Ice Cream & Cotton Candy” collections, which are both part of GUESS Originals’ collaboration with the prolific hip-hop artist.

“GUESS Club” includes two vintage ringer tees that reference the '70s; and “Ice Cream & Cotton Candy” includes a range of boxy T-shirts with prints, pastels, and stripes. Items from both collections include the all-too-crucial detail: the double dollar signs that let everyone in on your token affiliation to the A$AP Mob.

Among all of the pieces in the collection, we find that we’re partial to the navy and grey striped tees—they seem to be the most classic pieces here, and would likely have the most lasting power in your wardrobe. They’re simple, everyday tees that work well under layers and with jeans; and the A$AP reference is just a subtle whisper—a quiet declaration of fealty to the heir of Harlem hip-hop.

Both collections of the GUESS Originals x A$AP Rocky collaboration will be available at GUESS Glorietta, Mall of Asia, Megamall, Trinoma, Ayala Alabang Town Center, and SM Cebu in July 2017. Just please—for your own damn good—don’t show up to the store in gold grills. For more information, visit the GUESS website and the GUESS Philippines Facebook.
