This TV Reporter Went Viral for His SpongeBob Shirt, And It's All Pretty Wild

On Monday, the Philippines watched—with bated breath—as the Greenhills hostage-taking unfolded in real-time on social media sites like Facebook and Twitter.
If you were one of those who caught up with the news on TV, chances are you saw TV Patrol's Jeck Batallones reporting from the scene in San Juan City along with his bold style choice: a SpongeBob-patterned shirt.
But if you missed it, thankfully, a Twitter user immortalized the whole thing with a tweet saying: "One day, I will have the confidence to face the millions riveted to their televisions as the voice of reason amidst a terrible hostage crisis, be calm and collected and reasonable and factual: and do all this while wearing a cool-ass Spongebob Squarepants shirt."
Not everyone was a fan of the shirt, however... which makes sense given the circumstances.
Whether you like the shirt or not, it's safe to say that it will now forever be a part of Filipino Twitter history. Lucky for you, some sharp-eyed Twitter users found the shirt being sold in H&M. So, get it while you can I guess?

We dare you to match it with Timberland's SpongeBob collaboration boots. Maybe just don't wear it when you're facing the public on TV, though?
