With its newest collaboration, Uniqlo works with Engineered Garments to reimagine the polo shirt. The collection, which officially dropped yesterday, is available only at Uniqlo SM Megamall and the Uniqlo flagship store in Glorietta.

It's safe to say Engineered Garments and the Japanese retailer are the perfect fit. Both companies follow the same ethos of casual yet versatile pieces. Uniqlo's Yuki Katsuta says “I have tremendous respect for the brand’s ability to identify what’s important in clothing and present new ideas every season. Our two companies share the same philosophy about the essence of clothing and creating simple designs for a better future. This led to our working together on polo shirts, which are universal essentials for men’s spring and summer wardrobes.”

Since 1999, the New York-based fashion label founded by Japanese designer Daiki Suzuki has crafted contemporary garments that are as practical as they are aesthetically pleasing. And today, the brand has amassed a large following within the streetwear community.

Engineered Garments' Daiki Suzuki shares, “From the inception of this project I looked forward to completing the challenge of crafting new basics that would incorporate UNIQLO’s first-rate quality control and materials development ethos in Engineered Garments styling that is at once simple and subtly distinctive. I’m delighted with what we’ve achieved through this partnership.”
