Van Gogh's Masterpieces Are Now on Vans Sneakers

One of the best things about Vans is that its simple, classic skate sneakers make for great canvases. Typically, that means skaters can thrash them around and the scuffs and tears would only add character. But in the brand's new collaboration with the Van Gogh Museum, it's taken on a literal meaning.
Vincent Van Gogh's Skull, Sunflowers, Almond Blossom, and Old Vineyard with Peasant Woman, as well as his self-portrait and a letter to his brother Theo are the works applied throughout the collection of sneakers, hoodies, and hats. All shoes are finished with custom footbed art that mimics Van Gogh's memorable brush strokes, and come with a hangtag that describes the artwork:
The Van Gogh Museum collaboration will be available online through the Vans website on August 3, but we can also expect it to drop at local stores soon, according to Vans Philippines. A portion of the proceeds from this collection will be dedicated to the preservation of the artist's works and legacy.
