In the past few years, more and more niche fragrance houses have become available in the country. We can thank one of the biggest luxury retailers in the Philippines—Rustan's—for giving us access to several cult brands, with the latest one being Frédéric Malle.

Founded by French businessman Frédéric Malle, Editions de Parfums Frédéric Malle has over 45 fragrances. Some of which were made in collaboration with perfumers Jean-Claude Ellena, Dominique Ropion, Maurice Roucel, Bruno Jovanovic, Carlos Benaim, Olivia Giacobetti, Pierre Bourdon, Edmond Roudnitska, Ralf Schwieger, Edouard Flechier, Michel Roudnitska, Sophia Grojsman, Edouard Fléchier, Fanny Bal, Anne Flipo, and Julien Rasquinet.

Of course, the fragrance house's most recognizable scent is Portrait of a Lady. The feminine perfume is an amber floral scent that is favored by many for its warm, rose, and woody notes. For men, however, the easy choice would be Musc Ravageur. It's another warm, amber fragrance that has notes of lavender, tangerine, and bergamot, to name a few.

Now, if amber isn't really your thing, there's Carnal Flower to check out. The unisex fragrance is described as an erotic scent that mixes tuberose, water fruits, and vegetal notes to make an intoxicating scent.

Rustan's currently has 15 fragrances from Editions de Parfums Frédéric Malle up on its site along with shower cream, body butter, body and hair oil, and hair mist versions. Take your pick.
