John Lloyd Cruz Debuts a New Haircut, by a Barber You Can Only Dream Of

After a while away from the public eye, John Lloyd Cruz emerged from the shadows last Tuesday at the UP Vargas Museum, where he was one of the featured artists of an Archivo 1984 exhibit, entitled Reinterpreting Vic Delotavo's Posters for Philippine Cinema.

According to ABS-CBN, he refused questions, saying he no longer does showbiz interviews. They even managed to capture his reluctance in a video, where an apologetic Cruz says, "Hay nako, I don't want to deal with that. I'm sorry. Excuse me."

Another noticeable aspect of Cruz's re-emergence is his new hairstyle: a high-and-tight, almost mohawk-like buzz that's shaved clean on the sides. The style lends him an edgy, artsy look befitting the occasion, as well as the new image that he's cultivated. That being said, we probably wouldn't raise an issue with the person who styled Cruz's hair. After all, who are we to question Ellen Adarna's taste in men's haircuts?

Now we're not entirely decided on whether or not we can co-sign Cruz's new look, but at the very least, we can say that getting your hair cut by Ellen Adarna would be an interesting experience.
