As Game Of Thrones plays its final hand, Jon Snow is alive and well: still sleeping with his auntie, still looking pained during very inclement Winterfell weather. For now, anyway. But in Kit Harington's mind, Westeros' hardest bastard is dead. Gone. Never to return.
And how we do know? His latest grooming move on Sunday Today with Willie Geist, that's how. For what may be the first time since Game of Thrones began, Harington went clean shaven, a far cry from the King of the North's permastubble, and an even bigger step from the current wider appetite for All Things Hirsute.
It's a clever one. While repositioning the 32-year-old as a proper gentleman, the sort that's far too polite to ever shadow the lower half of his face, it also puts the actor in a whole new light. Important, especially when you're looking to move on from one of the most wildly popular TV shows of all time.
