Finally unshackled by the Jon Snow contract clause of maintaining designer stubble 365 days a year, Kit Harington has come out swinging with a divisive new grooming move: a '70s porno 'tache.

Or perhaps, not so divisive. For the moustache has undergone something of a renaissance in recent times, with Henry Cavill sporting his own, Brad Pitt having a go, and even Zac Efron pulling it off without looking like that kid who always managed to get served booze despite being 14-years-old.
.
But even without that groundwork being laid: we like it. By going all-out Magnum P.I (look it up, kids) Harington is merely playing into current runway trends, where all things '70s are in, even facial hair last seen delivering an empty pizza box to a lonely housewife in the San Fernando Valley.

Even if it's just 'for a role'or indeed some sort of betKit's 'tache is a refreshing corrective to almost a decade of hipster 'lumberjack' beards designed to deflect from a lack of chin / personality. Equally, it swerves the clean shaven naivety of the resident grad schemer. The porno 'stache instead is a fashionable throwback that confirms himand perhaps youas a man of virility and gall, on par with the great Tom Selleck himself.

Or perhaps just your dad in 1974.
