No Shave Lockdown Is the Latest Trend Caused by Extreme Boredom
People have been doing all sorts of silly things while contemplating their existence at home amid the COVID-19 community quarantine. From making TikTok videos to separating the grains of 3-in-1 coffee or counting the times the ceiling fan rotates per minute, extreme boredom seems to have taken the community by storm.
But there is a new trend that is making significant rounds on social media: No Shave Lockdown. It’s not exactly a trend that people are doing out of boredom. They are simply not shaving because they are at home.
No Shave Lockdown takes its name from No Shave November, which is a legitimate movement for a cause. The only difference is that the former is not done for any cause, but born out of the laziness to do the hygienic practice of mowing down facial hair.
Facial hair in men can be attractive when well-groomed, but don’t allow it to get out of control.
The Center for Disease Control (CDC) has released guidelines on the ideal length and shape of your facial hair in case you need to be hooked to a respirator. Surprisingly, the CDC has a well-developed vocabulary concerning the matters of stubble importance.
Here are a few CDC-approved styles you can try for your No Shave Lockdown challenge.
