Slathering Oil And Charcoal On Your Face Is A Good Thing—Really
If by now you don't have a routine that involves, at least, washing your face with stuff that you don't use on your body, using a moisturizer, and putting on sunscreen, we have failed our mission of pushing your toward your greatest face potential.
But if you have been doing all of the above (and maybe even use toner—wow!), we can now graduate to other things, the fun stuff, the good gunk, the weird ingredients that make you think, “Hey, are you sure?”
Yes, we are! Oils, charcoal, yogurts, and other unusual things will make your skin even more palatable to the public. Get to know the following:
Really? The same stuff you use to torch beef belly is the same stuff you can use to clean your face. Carbon-rich charcoal has been used as a natural purifier and detoxifier for ages, and on a bar of soap or a mask, The Body Shop says, it can produce a turbo-charged cleanse.
How? For this bar soap, you should create a foamy lather on your hands and then apply to skin—versus taking the hard bar and attacking your face. Otherwise, if you rub bar to skin, you will feel bits and grits, the charcoal, we think.
What else? Because we are adventurous, we also used this on the body (we advise against using body soap on the face, but the reverse is okay) and it still gets the job of ridding yourself of the sins of the day done. And no, the lather isn't dark, but it does leave black streaks on the soap dish.

Really? It may feel counterintuitive to put oil on your face, because oil feels, well, oily, and that's the last thing you want, right? But you shouldn't be a baby about textures, especially when the slippery elixir is a concoction that soothes and repairs skin.
How? People say that Midnight Recovery Concentrate is used by a lot of celebrities to fake eight hours of sleep. Well, it does bestow a mug that has been pushed to the brink with elasticity come morning, but quality sleep plus this serum would do you good, too.
What else? A little bit is enough (try two drops). You don't want to put too much of the miracle stuff on your face only to rinse it off, along with your other layers of skincare, because it feels like a film later on. Trust us.

Really? Ever had the problem of moisturizing your not-face and having to wait before putting on your clothes because body lotion is sticky? Nope? No one? Guess not. Men don't usually care about moisturizing face or body, but what if there's new stuff that makes the ritual fast and easy and not sticky? Will you try it?
How? The newest body lotion format is a yogurt, which is exactly how this looks and acts in the tub—like a whipped jelly thing that wiggles. Take a glop, smooth it over your body, and feel the yogurt sink into skin instantly. What you're left with is lightweight, non-sticky moisture that's perfect for summer. An acceptable scent lingers (depending on the flavor you get), while the finish is less “I'm wet” and more “I'm healthy.”
What else? The weird thing is your skin feels a flash of warmth. That goes away. This one has hyaluronic acid and glycerin, both of which work to provide moisture for, they say, up to 48 hours.

4| VITAMIN C
Really? It may have lost its status as a cold cure, but vitamin C remains a potent antioxidant and brightener for the skin. If you have cultivated fine lines and discoloration in the course of making very animated facial expressions, the good vitamin can address both as it stimulates collagen production and neutralizes free radicals. In other words, it extends the shelf life of your face.
How? Serums come after washing your face and before applying your moisturizer. Don't slap this near your eyes, but application on the rest of the face is okay. There's 12.5 percent of vitamin C here—a Goldilocks amount that's not too little or too much—so, with twice daily use, expect to see results.
What else? The potion is also packed with hyaluronic acid, a skin superstar that helps plump up skin by drawing moisture into it... like a sponge.
